"The new building gives us 50 percent more space. We’ve been bursting at the seams after adding new products and graphics equipment. In spite of the downturn in the economy, we’re having our best year ever,” said Robert Laarhoven, president. “We will devote 25 percent of the space to support our graphics department and the two new fabric dye-sublimation printers and Fuji UV Direct printer. This additional space will allow us to better serve our customers by better integrating our graphic services with the fabrication of our metal extrusions, DeltaMatrix and DeltaFabric,” he said. “Having the graphic and metal fabrication under one roof will give us the ability to react quicker, which translates into faster turnaround times and enhanced service to our customers.” Prior to moving into the building, Laarhoven focused on energy-efficient renovations. “We’re very committed to green initiatives for our products and the new building,” Laarhoven stated. “Renovations to the building include energy-wise roofing insulation; solar reflective white dock door paint to reflect heat; and energy-efficient halide fixtures on the interior warehouse ceilings. These renovations will reduce our energy usage by 54 percent." Laarhoven Design, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of custom modular and portable exhibit systems and graphics. Celebrating its 25th anniversary, Laarhoven systems are marketed through a nationwide network of dealers.
