CHESTNUT RIDGE, N.Y. – This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Certified Trade Show Marketer (CTSM) program at EXHIBITOR2012. To mark the occasion, more than 40 CTSM candidates, the largest graduating class in the program’s history, will be certified in ceremonies sponsored by MC2 (www.mc-2.com), a nationally recognized exhibit and event marketing company.
EXHIBITOR 2012 takes place March 4-8 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
The new graduates will bring the total number of graduates to more than 350. Currently, 3,000 candidates are actively involved in taking classes to achieve CTSM certification.
“Sponsoring the CTSM activities at EXHIBITOR2012 is another example of MC2’s continued commitment to education, which we believe is essential to shaping the future of the industry,” said Rob Murphy, MC2 chief marketing officer.
“Many of them have taken classes at EXHIBITORFastTrak, a regional program offering EXHIBITOR Show classes around the country, which MC2 has sponsored for 10 years,” he added. “Sponsoring the graduation ceremonies as well will allow us to see many of the candidates we have helped along the way receive their credentials.”
“We are delighted to have MC2 sponsoring our event this year,” said Jan Nelson, executive director of the CTSM program. “The impact of the EXHIBITORFastTrak events has been remarkable. They make it possible for our candidates to attain their credentials within one to two years, rather than three to four. Our CTSM candidates are grateful for this, and we are happy that MC2 can be a part of the culmination of their sponsorship support.”
The CTSM program is sponsored by EXHIBITOR Media Group in conjunction with Northern Illinois University Outreach. To earn the CTSM designation, candidates must complete a curriculum of 23 required and five elective seminars totaling 42 hours of classroom training. Candidates then must pass a three-hour written comprehensive exam and present a Candidate Portfolio. |
