ALEXANDRIA, Va. – National Trade Productions closed out 2011 with a great celebration taking place in 2012. Following a tradition of January holiday parties, NTP hosted more than 80 staff and guests to toast the conclusion of a successful 2011 event season.
“We’re proud of the great work we delivered this past year,” said Robert Harar, CEO of Alexandria-based National Trade Productions. “The past few years have been challenging for the exposition industry, but we’re now seeing the beginning of the recovery. In fact, attendance for Coverings 2012, staging in April in Orlando, is currently trending 15 percent ahead of the previous show in Orlando in 2010.”
National Trade Productions managed 10 face-to-face events in 2011, providing services that included attendee marketing and acquisition, exhibit and sponsorship sales, housing/registration services, onsite exposition and conference management. Highlights include:
American Public Transportation Association: Increased sponsorship sales, exceeded show revenue goals and sold two rail car sponsorships on the show floor for the first time since 2005.
American Public Works Association: Increased booth sales by 15 percent.
American Gear Manufacturing Association (GEAR): Registration increased by 20 percent, sponsorship sales by 81 percent and 91 percent of the 2011 exhibitors re-signed onsite.
GOVgreen (NTP proprietary conference and expo): Increased booth sales by 70 percent and attendance by 30 percent.
New NTP clients for 2012 include the Electric Drive Transportations Association and the National Catholic Educational Association. |
