BOSTON – A date has been set for the 6th Annual Rally at the Alley, April 29, a beneficiary has been chosen, and now we need your help once again to make it possible. April 26 is the last day to register!

Thanks to our friends at Blue Hive, I was put in touch with Caleb Burrill of Moss, Inc.

Caleb, a project service manager based in Maine, was diagnosed with malignant melanoma, a deadly form of skin cancer. As a result Caleb has suffered through two surgeries as well as a full month of intense daily regimen of Interferon treatments (similar to chemotherapy) earlier this year, treatments which will need to continue for at least another 12 months on a regular basis. It is fortunate that the cancer did not spread to his lymph nodes and his prognosis is good, however he has missed a great deal of work in order to battle this disease.

If you're familiar with the Rally, you know that this night is not only an opportunity to financially support one of our own, it's also a great night to come together and honor Caleb.

The dynamic duo of Karen Joyce and Dawn Perkins will be heading up the raffle item donations this year. Every raffle donor will be recognized for his/her contribution, and all proceeds from the raffle will go directly to the beneficiary. Great items in the past have included Bruins, Red Sox, Celtics and Patriots tickets, iPods, gift cards and wine baskets just to name a few. If you are able to donate a raffle item (no company-promoting items please), contact Karen at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Melissa O'Keefe has graciously agreed to coordinate on-site volunteers. We need a handful of night-of-the-event volunteers to help out with door duty, taking pictures, selling raffle tickets, etc. Please note that  you must be a paid attendee to participate. Melissa can be reached at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or 781-726-3307.

Rocking the 2010 Rally at the Alley are this year's sponsors:

Blue Hive
Champion Logistics Group Boston
Champion Logistics Group Chicago
EACA
NuVista Event Services
Sacks Exhibits
RSMGC
The Taylor Group
Willwork Inc.

Event sponsors can be companies, individuals or groups that donate $500 or more, all of which goes to offset the cost of our event. So please join our group of dedicated sponors. In return for your donation, your company will be recognized on each and every e-mail sent before and after the Rally, as well as on signage at the event itself. In addition, your company will be acknowledged during the announcement portion of the evening.

In return for your generosity, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you or your company has contributed to an evening that will not only financially support a member of our industry, you will be demonstrating what it really means to be part of a family: the trade show family.

Please contact me directly if you are interested in becoming an event sponsor. If you are ready to make that commitment now, please visit www.rallyatthealley.com and make your contribution online.

Last but not least, thank you for making the past five years possible and thank you in advance for your dedication to the success of our 6th Annual Rally at the Alley. I look forward to hearing from you and seeing you this spring!

The Rally at the Alley began in 2005 as an ancillary event of the the Randy Smith Memorial Golf Classic (RSMGC) and continues to operate under the umbrella of the Randy Smith Foundation.
