The New York Wine Expo, which is showcasing 640 wines from over 160 winemakers from around the world, is running concurrently.
Highlights are the Ultimate Barista Challenge, author interviews as well as over 40 educational demonstrations, healthy menu item creations, and recipe presentations. One of the seminars, “The Food Service Consumer in 2010,” was presented by Technomic’s Kathy Gaynor. She said that although consumer confidence is still down, restaurateurs will benefit from pent-up demand and it is expected that consumers will spend more on dining sector over the next year. |
