"Corrugated Packaging - The Natural Choice" is the theme of International Paper's presence at FruitLogistica 2010. The world's largest paper and forest products company and European leader in fresh fruit and vegetable packaging will present its innovative and environment-friendly packaging solutions at the most important international tradeshow for the fresh produce trade in Berlin, Germany from February 3-5. Trade show visitors will have the opportunity to meet International Paper representatives and discuss individual corrugated packaging solutions and learn more about why choosing corrugated means making the sustainable choice at stand D-7 in Hall 6.2. "Climate change and sustainability will be one of the few issues that will impact every business owner this decade. From the Boardroom to the living room, from producer to consumer to government regulator, conversations and ideas are taking shape today that are set to define the entire business landscape of tomorrow", said Greg Gibson, Vice President & General Manager of International Paper's corrugated packaging business in Europe, Middle East & Africa. "We are now living in a world where the sustainable nature of the products we use everyday has become important for increasingly sophisticated and environmentally conscientious consumers", he continued. "I am delighted to be at FruitLogistica to meet with our customers from the entire fresh fruit & vegetable supply chain to share with them the great story behind corrugated packaging which is the most sustainable packaging material available." Mr. Gibson concluded "at International Paper, our company is already a leader in sustainable production because corrugated packaging is made of a natural and infinitely renewable raw material, it has a reduced carbon footprint and it is 100% recyclable and biodegradable. It is, quite simply, the natural choice for businesses and the environment and I look forward to meeting everyone who is interested in finding out more at our stand at the trade show in Berlin."
