LAS VEGAS – Shawn Bicker, a designer with Exhibit Fair International, Inc. (EFI) of Las Vegas, was named Designer of the Year at ACCESS2011, held Nov. 30-Dec. 2 at the J.W. Marriott in Las Vegas.
The award recognizes an individual for his/her contribution to enhancing the professional standards of exhibit designers.
Nominations are submitted online by co-workers, superiors or industry peers. Criteria include passion of the exhibition industry; working diligently to enhance professional standards; commitment of time and energy to help others in their field; and is considered a leader or champion by peers.
Bicker graduated with a BS in exhibit design from Bemidji State University and has worked with a large general contractor as well as a long-term freelance career before coming to EFI. Norman Davies, president of EFI, said, “Shawn has been a team player with a good eye for what our clients are looking for since he came to work with us. We are very proud of his award and feel it is well deserved.”
