In June of 2009, Diversified was evaluating whether to launch a new Asian seafood exhibition in Hong Kong—an active market with much competition. “Launching a new show can be a risky investment, and we wanted to be confident in our decision and maximize the opportunity for success. Without Vovici, it would have taken us weeks to make phone calls and conduct interviews, and then we would have only captured a few dozen data points,” estimates Katie Clark, manager of customer insights and analytics with Diversified. To gauge market interest, Diversified used Vovici to build a single survey that was then translated into 5 languages, including Chinese which they had never done before.
