India is not just Bollywood and the country of spicy food, curry and Chutney, it is also a nation with incredible growth and a rapidly expanding middle class.
When we visit our hospitals, labs and software companies in the U.S., we run into the finest physicians, technicians and computer specialists from India. India is no longer the country of call centers, it is now a sub-continent the world is paying attention to. Exhibitors from the U.S. and Europe are participating in a large number of international conventions and trade shows, and are taking advantage of a market with huge potential in the future. As the demand for exhibit space and improvement in the infrastructure grows, so does the demand for quality exhibits and quality partners familiar with what international corporations want. With OCTANORM being the world’s leading exhibit system since its introduction in the late ‘60s – and an OCTANORM Service Partner International (OPSI) network of 160 exhibit companies in nearly 60 nations – it was only a question of time when an Indian exhibit designer and builder would be the first OCTANORM service partner. So it’s true when OSPI members make the claim “Designed here, built there” in their advertising. With globally applied design and production software programs, all that would ever have to be shipped across the globe would be data. Any design can be reproduced anywhere to exact specifications. With the upcoming international OSPI conference in Moscow, Keck-Genesis Exhibitions Pvt. Ltd. will officially join the international group of exhibition specialists. Designers and project managers have been brought up to speed over the past eight months and are now experts in all areas of exhibits originating in the USA or Europe. The same is true for all areas of quality production and top-notch service in the major Indian exhibition centers. Well-equipped production facilities with top-of-the-line machinery exist in the three major convention cities. Ujjal Sinha, owner and CEO of Genesis group, stated that a joint venture has been established between Germany’s “Messebau Keck” (Stuttgart) and his company, and that this partnership will result in huge benefits for the clients of both firms as well as for OSPI members in the USA and members of the Global Exhibit Alliance. “There is a big difference between claims made on websites and the real thing, and we are the real thing,” Sinha stated. He added, “We’re only using genuine quality products and stay away from the many copied systems and system components, which may be cheaper but are definitely inferior.” Sinha, having organized exhibits for his clients in the U.S. and Europe, is very familiar with both markets and the expectations that Americans and Europeans have. He has toured EuroShop in Dusseldorf and the EXHIBITOR Show in Las Vegas on several occasions and is completely in tune with what it means to operate on a global scale. Definitely, Genesis is the “real deal.” Genesis consists of three companies providing communication services. Genesis Advertising, operating out of Mumbai and Calcutta, is engaged in advertising and media buying services, while Exhibits Genesis provides 360-degree service in exhibit booth design and fabrication. Brandsum Tech Solutions provides digital domain services. This mix of services provides everything foreign corporations need to enter the market or expand their market presence in India. Exhibits Genesis has factories and warehouse operations in Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata (Calcutta). While having serviced many domestic and international clients in the past, an even more rapid expansion of Genesis can be expected in the future. And of course, due to the GEA and soon to be confirmed OSPI membership, the reach of this marketing will be truly global.
